Baltasar Escriche is Director of the Master in Research in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Genetics, and Secretary of the Doctoral Program in Biomedicine and Biotechnology at the University of Valencia. He holds six positively evaluated research periods and one for knowledge transfer. With over 3,500 citations, his Google Scholar h-index is 32, and i-index is 53.
His research focuses on Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt), particularly its bioactive proteins and their application in pest control, primarily targeting Lepidoptera and Coleoptera. With over 30 years of experience, he has published more than 80 open-access articles and delivered 150 presentations.
He has led or participated in 60+ projects, including 14 as principal investigator in the last five years, funded by national and international institutions and companies.
