I studied Biology at the University of Valencia and specialized in Health Fundamentals. Then, I completed a Master’s degree in Plant Health and Production at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), where I received extensive training in biological control, pest and disease detection, and Integrated Pest Management (IPM). I carried out my Master’s thesis at the Entomology Department of the Mediterranean Agroforestry Institute (IIAM-UPV), where I also worked. My research focused on the effectiveness of different parasitoids to control Paracoccus burnerae, an invasive pest that affects citrus crops.
At the same institute, I was involved in several projects. In particular, I worked on Deltococcus aberiae, another invasive pest, and its parasitoid Anagyrus aberiae. I also collaborated with the company EMYN ENERGY on the PicuDron project, which aimed to develop early detection of the Rhynchophorus ferrugineus pest using drones. Currently, I am part of the Biotechnological Pest Control (CBP) group at the University of Valencia. I am involved in the ProBioVirus project, which aims to study the gut microbiome composition of virus-infected honey bees and to understand how the gut microbiota may help improve their health. I hope to continue contributing to sustainable pest and disease management while enjoying my passion for entomology
