I studied Biotechnology at Universitat de València, where I completed my bachelor’s thesis in the Department of Microbiology. My research focused on the characterization of virulence genes in the zoonotic pathogen Vibrio vulnificus. In 2019 I obtained a master’s degree in Advanced Microbiology from the Universitat de Barcelona, where I carried out my master’s thesis on the phenotypic characterization of a mutant of the enteroaggregative strain Escherichia coli 042.
In 2020, I received a FPI grant from the Spanish Ministry of Sciences, Innovation and Universities. My current PhD research focuses on the dynamics of acaricide resistance in Varroa destructor. This work is being conducted at the University Institute of Biotechnology and Biomedicine (BIOTECMED) of Universitat de València, under the supervision of Dr. Joel González Cabrera and Dra. Sara Hernández Rodríguez.
